Ethereum ETFs Attract Record $890M Weekly Inflow as Institutional Adoption Accelerates
Spot Ethereum ETFs listed in the United States recorded their highest weekly net inflow since launch, driven by allocations from sovereign wealth funds and pension managers diversifying digital asset exposure.
Spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds registered in the United States recorded $890 million in net weekly inflows — the highest figure since the products launched — according to data from Bloomberg Intelligence. The surge follows a series of institutional mandates from sovereign wealth funds and public pension managers disclosing digital asset allocation programmes in Q2 2026.
BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust accounted for roughly 62% of total inflows, while Fidelity's Ethereum Fund and Franklin Templeton's on-chain Ethereum ETF shared the remainder. Total assets under management across all spot Ethereum ETFs have now surpassed $28 billion.
Analysts link the inflow surge to two converging factors: the approval by the SEC of staking participation for certain ETF structures, which increased annualised yield to approximately 3.8%, and growing recognition of Ethereum's role as settlement infrastructure for tokenized real-world assets. Several asset managers have noted that institutional clients are bifurcating their digital asset exposure — using Bitcoin ETFs as a store-of-value allocation and Ethereum ETFs as an infrastructure play.
In Europe, the European Securities and Markets Authority's updated guidance under MiCA has clarified that crypto-asset ETPs admitted to regulated markets may offer staking pass-through to investors without triggering additional licensing obligations, a significant regulatory development for European ETP issuers.
